You walk into the museum and you are handled a photo of the museum. Or rather, what the museum looked like before it was disassembled. Things have been taken apart and moved around or placed in a big pile. You have 45 minutes to put it back together.
The Pieces
There are 1000 pieces. Or maybe there are 500. Or 100. Some of the pieces are furniture, some of it is art, some of it is the floor. There might be pieces to other parts. Perhaps to models of patrons. They pieces vary in size. They’re not heavy though. Maybe the pieces light up when they are in the right place. Maybe there are snaps. Maybe there is no feedback on a correct placement.
Maybe there is a small puzzle on the table that is like the big puzzle and you also have to do that.
Competitive or Collaborative
It could be designed as a race or it could be framed in the same way jigsaw puzzles are: casually do this while hanging out with friends. Maybe there are levels. Perhaps you are only given enough pieces to do one wall at a time. Maybe there are two identical rooms and people are competing.
Variation: 2-dimensions
The pieces are are flat. when put together they make up a mural of the walls. The walls are perhaps magnetic and the pieces must be put together on the walls and on the furniture so that it looks like a museum again.
ActorsMaybe there is an actor that comes in every now and then and adds more pieces or messes with stuff in a way that ups the challenge. Maybe when the pieces that the actor brought in are put together they reveal photos of the current puzzle-doers that were taken clandestinely as they have been trying to do the puzzle.
