The Museum of Unknown Things

March 8, 2022

What is this? Patrons get to discuss.

Inside the museum are various items and parts of items. There might be blurry photos of items or people or places. There could be clips of audio or video or distorted audio or video. You might be able to move the objects around in order to determine which way is up.

Visitors are invited to come and ponder what they think it could be. There might even be a way for you to see other people’s guesses if you want to, as well as leave your own.

It’s not just a bunch of random stuff.
The stuff in the museum, you would find over the time of your exploration, is related in some way. It tells a story in parts. (Maybe that’s the name of the exhibit). Perhaps the museum is a series of rooms. Each has maybe 20 items. Each room has a story and you can try to interpret what the story is.

What kind of stories are we talking about?
It could be something as simple as depicting something historical. Or it could be the artifacts of someone famous’ life. Or someone not famous. It could be just a day in the life of a person who lives a life very different from you. It could be the view of a rat. It might just be a collection of items that are related on a conceptual level, like the concept of time or of guns or of television. Each item might reflect an emotion. The emotion is generally the same but the items are very different.
