Eureka Room is Hiring!

JOB TITLE: Host of Unique Austin Attraction (Part-time)

BRIEF DESCRIPTION
Austin’s absurdist experience Room, The Eureka Room is hiring for an outgoing and enthusiastic show runner to greet guests and work behind the scenes to make their 45 minute experience a fun, unique, and memorable one.

ABOUT THE CANDIDATE
We need a friendly, outgoing, upbeat, enthusiastic, warm and responsible individual who is self-motivated and interested in meeting people and getting them excited about their visit.

DUTIES
Greet and chat with visitors in the waiting room.
Get them excited about the experience they are about to have.

Operate the immersive programs behind the scenes.
Chat with visitors and answer questions after their experience.
Sell merchandise.

OTHER DUTIES
Answer booking-related phone calls and emails.
Back of house duties like daily cleaning, setup, and breakdown.
Recording testimonials from visitors.

ABOUT THE EUREKA ROOM
The Eureka Room is a high-energy, participatory boutique immersive experience room in Austin, Texas, where visitors engage in curious, delightful, and absurd programming within a one hundred square foot space filled with light and sound. If you love participatory absurdity, excitement, immersive experiences, and yelling a lot, then The Eureka Room may be right for you.

HOURS
Right now we need someone to help with some of our Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shifts.  We have two shifts, roughly 9am-5pm and 5pm to 10pm. Our greatest need is for the second shift. We’d like to get someone who can work 10-20 hours per week.

Additional optional shifts may become available within the next six months.

PAY
$15-20/hr
