I provide people with fun, memorable, and one-of-a-kind experiences.
I’ve started two companies that approach this from different angles – one as creator of experiences and one as a connector to experiences.
The Eureka Room
I created the multi-purpose Eureka Room, whose mission is to provide joyously absurd experiences through original programming.
It’s immersive, interactive, and interpersonal.
Big Weekend Calendars
I know experiences and I share them for a living.
I started Big Weekend Calendars 15 years ago to help people find events and activities in their home city they will find fun, rewarding, and meaningful.
I’ve been fortunate to have helped hundreds of thousands of people across the country with my publications.
The Secret Experimental Event Series
I’ve created many unusual events over the years, but this series of purposely absurd and fun events used to promote my Austin events 2020 Wall Calendar consisted of some of the strangest.
The tagline was “Let’s See What Happens“. Events include a gigantic 300 square foot cornhole game and the premiere of the Austin Stationary 5k.
Other Experiences I’ve Developed
Singularity Now!: A
cult program to help indivuals prepare for and be accepted by our inevitable AI overlords.
HiLab and Mindfultainment: An unholy mixture of mindfulness and entertainment.
The Austin Messy Homes Tour: The homes tour everybody really wants but has been afraid to ask for.
Curious Dinners and Entertainment: 12 guests enjoy an over-the-top surreal and absurd dinner theater filled with awkwardness and vegan food.
Curious Holiday Party: A multi-location holiday party involving blindfolds, Santaur, rapping, a carnival band, bluegrass music, a giant dome, and a game called “Puzzle Room’s Got Talent: Holiday Edition”.
The 24 Hour Eternal Jam: A completely improvised non-stop song performed by many bands and musicians swapping in and out over a 24-hour period.
The Museums Project: (Not yet IRL) An ever-growing collection of bizarre, wonderous, participatory, and often challenging “museums”.
The Yellow Chase: A promotional scavenger hunt and quiz game to promote the Austin Events Wall Calendar.
